HACCP guidelines and systems are implemented in the production processes all the way through to shipping and delivery.

 

International Food Safety & Quality

Lake Perch Limited is a HACCP implemented fish processing facility which has a plan to adopt the international food safety and quality standards like BRC and ISO 22000 in the near future.

The facility is approved by the Competent Authority (The fisheries department of Republic of Uganda).

It is a European Union approved plant having strict preference for the quality and food safety which is the key for the existence in the fisheries sector.

Here at Lake Perch Limited we always believe that the quality is not an accident but a habit.

Strict Quality Management System

The quality management system of the company has strict control over the production process for which highly trained professional team of quality supervisors are deployed in every step of the production process.

These quality supervisors strictly monitor key quality and food safety parameters and take necessary corrective actions immediately.

These controls involves raw material inspection and spot decision on the fate of the raw material to be received, process control like temperature of products, freezing facilities, product stores, product carriers etc.

In-house Laboratory

We have a well-equipped in-house laboratory for the monitoring of process water, ice and final products.

Well trained and experienced teams of microbiologists maintain the smooth functioning of the laboratory activities.

Also we send samples to the external accredited laboratory as per the official sampling schedule.
